North ORBIT Kite 2026 - 512 Deep Purple

Our iconic ORBIT kite with five struts offers high performance with a big wind range, effortless handling, and excellent lift. Completely redesigned for 2026, the new Orbit flies smoother, jumps higher, and provides more control in big air manoeuvres. It is your ultimate kite for loop progression, with more precise and responsive steering, increased loft, and longer hangtime. The pro-technology N-Max2 airframe material has enabled us to create a slimmer and lighter leading edge (LE) for improved efficiency. A new five-point precision bridle supports this thinner LE, while a higher aspect ratio (from 4.3 to 5.2) and a more forward and cambered profile give the kite a smoother, more energetic feel.

Faster-flying with thinner leading edge
Orbit 2026 flies faster, with more direct turning, vertical lift, and improved low-end performance. The thinner leading edge further increases loop speed, allowing the kite to fly forward and catch you quicker.

Aerodynamic Contoured PTP2
A zigzag-shaped single transition panel helps reduce spanwise tension in the seams, smooths out the profile shape, and creates a cleaner transition from the leading edge to the canopy.

Responsive 5-Point Bridle
The extra bridle point supports the slimmer leading edge, maintaining the rigidity of the lighter airframe and ensuring stability for controlled response, energetic feel, and increased depower.

Reduced Drag, Increased Lift
Its segmented arc is slightly narrower in the shoulders and wider at the wingtips, which reduces drag and allows faster turning. A slightly deeper profile in the centre creates more lift, resulting in higher jumps.

N-Max2 Pro-Technology Airframe
A durable and lightweight airframe material. The multi-layer longitudinal weave improves consistency and tear strength and has greater bias elongation for more dynamic steering.

Higher Aspect Ratio Design
Low-drag, high-lift profile. The kite sits further forward in the wind window, improving upwind and boosting performance. The higher aspect ratio provides more area in the centre of the kite, increasing efficiency and making relaunch easier.
