Ski jackets are clothing designed for use while skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports, as well as everyday wear in cold weather. Our jackets are made from special, high-quality membrane fabrics with a high water column that prevents water and wind from entering the garment while also allowing for breathability and sweat dissipation. The higher the water column and the higher the ability to dissipate sweat from the inside out, the more comfortable we will feel in it. Waterproofness is expressed as the water pressure that the membrane material can withstand in mm H2O (for example, 20,000 mm H2O), while breathability or sweat transport is measured in grams of vapor that can be released per square meter of membrane fabric in 24 hours (for example, 20,000 g/m2/24h). Of course, ski or snowboard jackets also have important details such as taped seams, additional vents and pockets in the right places, a snow skirt, adjustable hood, etc.

Some of the main characteristics of membrane ski jackets are:

• Water resistance: Membrane ski jackets are usually made to be water-resistant and protect the skier from water from the outside. The higher the water column, the more protected we are from the ingress of water due to snowfall or rain.
• Breathability: Membrane fabrics allow for breathability, so that sweat can evaporate from the body. Breathability is important especially in clothing worn during intense physical activities such as skiing, snowboarding, running, etc., as we can sweat heavily during these activities and it is important for the sweat to be quickly dissipated from the clothing.
• Warmth: Membrane ski jackets are usually insulated and thus retain body heat.
• Wind resistance: Ski jackets must also be wind-resistant to protect skiers from cold and wind.
